The bar was beyond crowded that night. Anyone not at the Yankees game was watching it on one of the many TVs the bar had to offer. Most of the evening passed in one long series of shots, drinks and popped tops. Faces began blurring into one another, and by the time it was over, the Yankees had won and Soleil was dead on her feet.

She liked busy nights though. Meant the tip jar was probably full, and with the other bar tender calling in sick (probably to go to the game, instead) Soleil had most of the profits to herself. As she sorted through the bills and small change, she noticed a business card. She just shook her head and set it aside. Never failed that at least three or four guys would leave their cards, hoping she'd call. But she never did.

"You should probably check that out."

Soleil jumped a mile at the unexpected voice. Looking up, she found her very own guardian angel sitting at the bar.

"Well, if it ain't my beanpole bodyguard," she smirked. "What's this about anyway?"

"Go see for yourself." He pointed to the discarded slip of paper.

Soleil picked up the business card and gave it a second look. Embossed on the front in what looked to be copper was some kind of tribal-esque logo. There was only the name of the company, The Phoenix Foundation, and an address in Los Angeles. Soleil shrugged and tucked the card into her back pocket. Good thing about bartending: she could just up and leave whenever she needed to. Besides, she probably would've headed out West anyway, considering she wasn't much of a snow person to begin with.

{From here}

Soleil had just happened to follow her gut to the outskirts of Atlanta and just happened to be driving along a road in the middle of the countryside when she caught sight of a sign: MUSTANG SHOW TODAY. Soleil turned her own Pony down the road and followed the signs to an airstrip.

She hadn't expected much, but enjoyed looking at the other Mustangs as well as the few vintage WWII aircraft sitting nearby. She had just turned to leave when something caught her eye in one of the hangars. Light gleamed off the silver paint and glossy black racing stripes. She couldn't believe it. It couldn't be.

But it was.

The owner had created a display detailing how he had purchased one of the rare few cars that hadn't been demolished in the movie. It was one of only eleven used at all.

Soleil slowly walked around the 1968 Shelby Cobra GT 500, admiring the lines, the amount of work that had gone into creating such a machine. Out of all the places in the world, this one was the last she'd expect to find such a beauty. She pulled out her one-shot digital camera and snapped a picture.
